I replaced the roof rail weather stripping on my 69 2dr Hardtop a few years a back and I've never been satisfied. The repo stuff doesn't look much like the dry rotted originals I took off and it seals like crap too. The contour is flat rather than rounded like the originals. Where can I find a better product? I bought my set from NPD.

Any idea which brand they sold you?? Soffseal, Metro, maybe Steele Rubber Products.
Nobody makes a correct reproduction for 69. None of the products out there have the groove that the window would slide into. I'd recommend using Metro as it is relatively soft and you can drive the window into it a bit and get a decent seal. NOS ones that are available work the best, but don't have the groove either; and will cost an arm and a leg.

I saw an NOS set ofthem for a 69 go for over $1,200 a few months back on ebay.
I bought a set of NOS GM roofrail seals for my 69 approx 5-6 yrs back and paid what i thought was a lot of $ at the time .
But $1,200 (YIKES!!!) is a lot more then i paid for those same 2 pieces of formed foam-rubber seals that cost approx $25 back in the 60's-70's.

Metro is much better than Soffseal.

I have soffseal and I am deffinitely not impressed. I don't see why anyone can't make a decient repo of these. If they could do it in 69' you'd think we could do it now...
