a feind is in the police dept. auto thieft squad and they just found a 67/68 camaro that was stolen from nc. need to know were any hidden vins are other then the cowl /firewall all tags have been removed. this IS NOTa joke have a person in dc also working on it fedeal level thanks for your help luke

you might check with team camaro. might be one under the heat a/c box

brad 46 thanks that was what i was looking for. by the way my freind found the vin under the cowl as shown just needed to scrap paint and bondo to see it now the car goes back to the nc. dealer that it was stolen from thanks again luke

Let me get this correct-- Your friend is a detective and he cannot find out where the hidden vins are?. All he has to do is contact the state highway patrol and they will come and find them for him, for that fact he can access the info himself thru police computer ties. He is not much of a detective if he cannot figure this out!.

buzzbomb2, he just started the job found the car at 930 at night i was the closes to him with any back ground on old cars . we all got to start somewere . he has known about hidden vins but not on the older stuff and was tring find it so they can close in on the perp.by the way the motor was gone 540 blower but the 4sp. was still there.thanks to brad46 if you look at his post it shows were to look for the vin numbers that are hidden it saved a lot of time luke

x2 - Exactly what I was thinking - Actually there was a time when only police knew this info.
