Welcome to Dallas. Lonestar Performance is in Carrollton on Midway Rd. They have been in the metroplex for atleast 15 years. A couple of us Chevelle owners have a club, our website is northtexaschevelles.com. We do carshows, cruises, and go to dragstrip occasionally. Its a good bunch of guys, hope you can make an event sometime.

David, I always thought Lonestar was more of a Mustang shop. I have never called them though. Does the chevelle club plan on being at Cars and Coffee? I usually go in my G8 but would like to meet some of the members. I plan on joining once I get my car back on the road.

Thanks for the replies! Well at this time I'm not looking for parts, just more or less trying to find the spots where gear heads hang out. You never know when you find that next project. If I were looking for parts it would be for 1970 chevelle.

For parts use Fire wheel classics in Wylie, they are a 67-69 camaro supplier but can order just about anything for a chevelle and not charge you shipping etc.

Most of you guys don't know this but a MAJOR supplier to year one, paddock, Fire wheel, Dallas mustangs, etc etc is located in Lewisville. I know this because when I worked for a restoration shop yrs ago I used to pick up our sheet metal, trim parts, bumpers etc from him directly. Their warehouse was amazing... chevy, mopar, ford, buick, all the popular classics... not open to public though....

As far as hangouts... cars and coffee, ricekiller.com has weekly monday night shows in plano that just started BUT you will get a mix of new and old, dallas swap meet, pate swap meet, greenville swap meet has shows along with the swap meets.

There was a small Camaro parts place a guy ran out of a building in his back yard in Murphy, which is right by Plano. Not sure if he's survived the times but he was a goodmark dealer. Try the Goodmark web site's list of dealers if you want.

Old Soldier, When they were on Loop 12 years ago they did specialize in mustangs. I just heard about them moving to Carrollton last week. Before they moved to Garland from Loop 12, they seemed to have more Chevy parts than before. I haven't been to the new location yet. I will not be able to make Cars and Coffee this weekend, I believe a few will. We are planning to race at North Star Dragway in Denton on Sunday April 11. I will be going to that.

71 454, I am a member of www.northtexaschevelles.com. We do the usual car stuff-car shows, cruises, dyno day, drag races, and other get togethers. They are a great bunch of car guys. We have some events coming up in April, hope you can make one of them.

Welcome to Dallas. I am a member of North Texas Chevelles as well. As David said, a great group of guys, no dues, no elections, just plain good old gearhead fun. Hope to see you at the next get together (sans car for me as my new C&D Performance, also a member, 383 stroker is going in the car). We will have beer and pizza at my house when we fire it off. Everyone in NTC is welcome to come over.

Actually, anyone and everyone is welcome to come over.:beers:
