My new centerlink didn't come with dust boots...only a felt doughnut looking thing. Am I suppose to use this in place of the boot?

Thanks!

A lot of those are coming that way now. It doesnt hurt to use it but if it were me. I would save the old boots if they are saveable or just get new boots for a few bucks.

You can get boots at most Orielly or Autozone stores. What are you working on? always helps us alot. Match up your old and new centerlinks to make sure new one is correct. I bought 67 Elcamino 3 years ago that old owner put wrong ceter link in,,,totally thru steering off....Moog did not make center link for 67 at that time...had to buy online to get right one Good Luck Jay

Sorry, I always forget to mention it is a '68 car.

I'll check the parts stores around here for some new boots...I don't want to put any old stuff on my nice new parts...lol If I can't find them, I just wanted to make sure that the felt rings would be okay...

Thanks for the help!

I personally like the McMaster-Carr V-cup seal (p/n 9691K53). They come in a pack of 5.

Funny, when I replaced mine, the one I took off had felts, and the one I put on came with rubber boots. I ditched the felts and used (squished) the boots. Those V-cup seals look REAL nice!
