Can i extend my steering column ? A little , when i installed my p/s gearbox & rag joint it looks like i am a little short . I can see about 1/4" of the flat on my column spline were i couldnt before. Or should i loosten the ragjoint, tighten down on column & tighen on gearbox then pull ragjoint together or is this ok the way it is . I have a stock gb & a 201 ragjoint from lares

Loosen the clamp at the firewall and move the entire column down as much as you need - and re-tighten. Watch the gap between the steering wheel and the cup below it to keep a good 1/8" or so gap.
