PS - it might be a bit of a hike for you from Joliet, but if you want a good deal and outstanding service on your tires, give Kevin at Discount Tire in Bloomingdale a call. He's a chevelle guy, too, I just never remember his user name on this forum.

69SS3964Spd Mar 27th, 10, 11:29 AM The Sumitomo HTR Z looks nice and is only $115 each at the www.Tirerack.com (http://www.Tirerack.com) ! I have run this brand before and I really liked them. I run this size on one of my cars and was looking at these as replacements when I wear mine out.

CNUKPUP Mar 27th, 10, 1:03 PM my dad runs those on his 67 chevelle and he likes them too...... i thought about them but i try to be a little different HA HA HA :P
Beaux Mar 29th, 10, 5:26 PM I have had good luck with Kumho on my truck. Much better than the goodyears or michelins I have run.
They have a wide selection, good reviews and warranty. I like their tread patterns and they have street, performance and auto cross / drag stuff.
Anyhow, I like the company and the tires. Quiet, good traction and have held up really well. I roll V rated tires on my truck and, although some think this is odd to do on a v rated tire, I siped them as well. And it did, without a DOUBT, help traction.
slammer454 Mar 29th, 10, 5:30 PM first thing that popped into my head were GS-D3's.

NITTO has several awesome street tires in that size,
including some street-drag radials. ------------------------:beers:

At least the Japanese are our military ally,
and, as another plus, are not Communists.
