Will a 30 inch tall tire fit? I know there appears to be enough room if the axle is centered but what about through the suspension travel? Do any of you have experience? I am considering 275/60/17's in back at 29.9 inches and 255/60/17's up front at 29 inches.

I have lowered the ride enough to have these tall tires without looking "airborne".

You 'should' be okay with that tall of a tire. I say 'should' because I currently use a 30" tall drag radial on my '70 and the only clearnance issues I had were width, but not height. Are the rear wheel well dimensions on a '69 identical to a '70? That I don't know.

Wes,

What size Drag Radials do you use? Did you have to trim the wheelwell lip?

Hey Wayne, they're 295-65. Yea, had to roll the inner wheel well lip for clearance. Actually had to do it for the old McCreary Road Stars I used to use but these BFG's needed the room as well.

Yep'ers! Should have no problems at all with that tire on the rear.
