The title is the best way I know how to describe this.

When I am opening and closing the door, the windows want to move in and out. I don't generally do body work or anything related to is, so bear with me. I'm a n00b in this area.........

What should a guy look for as far as available adjusting points to stop this? Or maybe parts that are common for wear?

I'll be taking the door panels off this weekend (or sooner if time allows) so I can grab some pictures of what is back there if that will help.

I remember from some of my other cars seeing some metal "pads" in there for lack of a better term that were covered with felt. They kind of ran up against the window to keep it half way secure. I'm guessing it's missing these or needs some new ones. Anywhere I can pick those up if that is the case? I bet NAPA can't get those for me ;)

Listed for 68-72, but I think they are door only ( the rears are different)... Maybe they offer the rear ones too...

For a 72.

I think those may be the ticket! I'll have to check on those and see if I have them tonight. It's for the front windows.

I always wondered what those things were for...
