That one will clean up nice.
The hood latch might not be needed by folks as much as the grille itself. But it's good to know you have it as well if anyone needs one.
I'd estimate 175 bucks minimum if you carefully clean it up first and show the detail.

Shipping might be a problem. Is it so heavy that a forklift is needed to pick it up? :) Just kidding.
You won't have any trouble finding a home for it on this site.

Hi Tom,
I don't know about that. I have one done (restored) like the one I did for you. It's painted for SS, NOS emblem installed, includes the mounting rivets. Gave up listing them on E Bay. I have offered it as low as $225, and it won't go. Since the arrival of the repop I have sold very few of the 65 grilles. I actually saw a very restorable 65 grille in a junk yard last weekend. It was in the trunk of a 65 convertable. I could of had it for $10 and left it .

If people are buying new "reproduction" grills instead of your restored grill they don't know what they are getting. Just my opinion.

I agree. Although I haven't seen or felt the reproduction ones in person...I can imagine that they would fit as poorly as the aftermarket "C" trim and headlight-suround parts do that I have seen up close and held in my hand.

So....If I needed to replace my grille I would expect to pay more than the cost of an aftermarket one (currently around $150). If it was a GM part, restored and ready to attach to a show car I would pay north of $275 without complaining - and I'm a frugal buyer. The grille is one of the most distinctive features of a '65 it will get looked at a lot.
I'd attempt to save money on other parts of the car that are a lot less noticeable - but not the grille.

Scott, wait another month or so and re-list that one you have. A fresh new group of parts shoppers come out every spring when the weather warms up and they pull the tarps of the projects.

Tim,
I do this out of my home shop. I do stainless and aluminum. The cost is about half of what the shops charge. As far as cost PM sent.
