I am looking for ways to improve the traction on my '86 Blazer. On a car I with rear leaf springs I would just buy a pair of traction bars or "slapper bars" as some call them.

More or less they help with wheel hop and excessive pinion angle.

So, does anyone know where to find some traction bars for my Blazer? A part number and company would be great!!

Thanks guys!!!

Why do you need to improve you traction control? Where are you loosing traction? Street, mud, sand, rocks? What's the suspension doing wrong?

Full size Blazer, or S-10 Blazer? Two different beasts, there. Full size, you'll need the long single bar "ladder bar" style bars, and S-10 you can use a standard slapper bar. Just try to find one long enough to place the snubber under the spring eye.

Traction bars (http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/tractionbars.htm)

Scroll about 1/3 down the page, $231 for bars and brackets. Easy. My friends run similar, but homebuilt stuff. Cost about the same, but we use the Curry Johnny Joints to build them, that's why they're pricey. ;)
