: 70 big block a/c compressor brackets shoey10 Mar 25th, 10, 7:24 AM Does anyone have any pictures of their 70 chevelle a/c compressor mounted. I am starting to put the brackets on my vortecpro 505 and I am having trouble with the bracket that goes over the valve cover, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. thanks lrdvdr41 Mar 25th, 10, 7:35 AM If you don't have stock valve covers, it probably won't fit if it is the correct 69-70 Style bracket. TCSS1970 Mar 25th, 10, 9:11 AM Butch I have the valve covers that look stock but are 3/4" taller for roller rockers and what I did is use the bracket that goes over the cover for a 71 & 72, the one thats correct for 69 & 70 that splits the pcv valve won't work. I had to grind on it some and put a washer under it on the intake side but it works fine & looks good. I don't have any pics here if I remember when I get home I'll post a couple.
