For the life of me I cant get the e brake cable off the frame where it goes through in front of the firewall.How do I remove this?This id on a 67ss.

There are usually some springy prongs that hold the front ebrake cable in the floor board, using a mini clamp, lower the clamp down to about 1/8th of an inch of the springy prongs and tighten the clamp, drop the ebrake cable out til it bottoms on the clamp and remove the clamp and VIOLA out the cable comes. Hope this helps.

Another method I have used is to take a box end wrench (14 mm I think) & slide it down over the prongs. This will compress them allowing the cable to be pulled out from below.
