putting a new e-brake cables on my 70 SS, the old one is about 1 inch longer than the new one, this is really tight to get on, this should stretch out correct? also the little hangers that hold the cable from dropping and attach to the frame is there 1 or 2 with tthe 400 trans, lost the old ones and cannot remember if it had 2 or 1 . thx steel

If that cable would stretch 1 inch on installation,imagine what would happen 10 yrs down the road.Its a good chance you have the wrong cable.Did you check it against the old one end to end? Can't help you with the hangers maybe someone with a Turbo 400 trans can chime in.

Not sure if it's the same but the 69 has a long one from crossmember and 2 short ones on each side. Mike
