I'm mocking up the core support, fenders, inner fenders, and hood on my '69 Chevelle. I replaced the body bushings and squared the body to the frame. I want to get everything up front aligned before final disassembly for final body work and paint.
I'm looking for some dimensions between the front fenders...straight across...front and rear. Also an "X" dimension from the 3/8" body bolt on the top of the fenders (bolts to the cowl) to the corners where the fender and header panel meet.
Lastly, how many shims are typically used between the core support bushings and frame on these 69's. (My 72 had some in both sides originally...unsure about 69's)
I'm still waiting on the '69 assy. manual to come to add to my collection, but would like to finish this by the end of this week.
Thanks,
Dan
