Make sure to factor in the price of adapters too. The Camaro/Corvette offsets will not work on a Chevelle.

$700 is A LOT for those wheels. Check this auction out on Ebay. Complete set for $395 buy it now:

Do a search on Ebay for "ZR1 wheels" and you'll find a lot of them for sale.

yeah i have looked quite a bit on ebay. they are all round 1200 without tires...SLP has them with the correct backspacing, not exactly a ZR-1 wheel, but very close..think its a SLP exclusive thingy or something.. according to their tech that I spoke with today they bolt right on.

hmm very interesting ones on ebay.. anyone know anything about what it would take, and who to contact as far as making them work on my velle?

You're probably going to need wheel adapters. I have ZR1 replicas on my 70 El Camino. The fronts are 9.5" wide and have a 38mm offset. The rears are 11" wide and have a 36mm offset. I had to use 1" wheel adapters on the front and rear. If you go with the deeper 50 or 56mm offsets you'll need larger adapters. The best advice I can give you is to measure, measure, and measure again.

KAA, do you mean like a 1" spacer?? or is an adapter a different bird??

Adapters and spacers are very different. Spacers more than 1/4" are very dangereous and not allowed in any form of motorsports. Adapters are billet peices that actually bolt to the hub and have 5 of their own studs that the wheel bolts too.
