What do you guys think of this car at a $30k price tag?

I don't care for the ghost stripes, but could get over that. It looks real clean. It only as a 350 in it. I e-mailed asking for pics of the engine compartment.

Good looking car, appears to be a solid drive, but I wouldn't give $29K. Hard to see $40K in a body on restoration,,looks like a $20+ car, depending on suspension & driveline.

If you wanted to make it a real nice clone you would have to change the whole drive line and unless you got the stuff laying around that's another 8 to 10 grand which would make it a 40 grand clone. Thats to much in my opinion. In any car there comes a time when you can get way more money in it than realistically its worth.

I like the paint, though with that engine it probably isn't worth $29k. I would not feel bad about $25k though.

Yeah, I saw that car on eBay a few days ago and my thoughts then are the same now. Nice car to look at but a 350? I think that would get old real quick. My opinion on convertibles in general is unless you are really talented and have time and the ability to scavenge good parts and do the work yourself, you might as well suck it up and pay more for at least a near finished car. In the long run the parts and labor will extend well beyond even the typical premium you will initially pay for a well done convertible. Just my $.02...
I would only want 20K in this car up front because to me that whole drivetrain would have to go, unless I never let anyone look under the hood to see that 350 :D
On a positive note the paint and body work seems to look good at least.

I'm curious as to what makes the existing differential and transmission unworkable with a big block? Obviously not a racing engine, but a nice driver horse engine.
