Searched the forum and assembly manual for this answer to no avail.
Does the valve cover EG decal face up or down on a 68 L78? Correct me if I am wrong but believe it is located on the back slant of the passenger-side valve cover.

I believe the back of the valve cover is correct.
This was done by assembly line workers, most were probably up and a few down.

That's what I thought. Thanks for confirming the back of the cover. I have many pictures of an unrestored 68 I saw at an ACES show but the engine shots don't show the decal.
