Ok, so my cowl tag was ripped off mine so i didn't get the fun of decodeing mine, i was looking at my dad's the other day, and i was able to find info on one part, and that's that it was cottonwood green. if i'm wrong please let me know. the pictures really hard to read, and it was just as hard in person, but i did the best i could. will upload best pic i have later if this is too messed up

is it true that on 71 there is no offical way to tell if it was an SS? not that i think it is but just for the info

Is it true that on 71 there is no offical way to tell if it was an SS? Not that I think it is but just for the info.

Well, after finding out all of that, it sure does make alot of sense why some of the stuff that was done to the car before he got it was.
there's no sign that a vinyl top was ever in place there. thanks alot :D

Your welcome. Tell tale signs of a vinyl top is rust down by the rear window, rear deck filler panel and the trunk. It would have caused rot in these areas. Maybe he just got lucky and there wasn't alot of rust problems.:yes:

his car doesn't look that bad, rear window has a little bit of visible rust, but nothing crazy (wonder what his car looks like sanded down). makes me wonder if mine had one on there, my trunks ok. but my rear window is pretty bad. what looks like moss growing in it.
the price i'm going to pay for the love of chevelles....
