It looks very nice. Years ago I did not like that color, today I think it looks very sharp.

Nice looking car! Perfect stance, nice wheels, body looks incredible and engine compartment is sure clean.

Is the firewall black or body color? I don't know if the US-bound, Canadian-made cars had the body coloured firewalls or not. Not meant to detract ANYTHING from your car - just curious.

Thanks for the complements. The firewall is black. We just sold an 02 Vette coupe, and used the money for this Chevelle, what an upgrade. When i ran the vin # and noticed that it had a 1, where the letter of the plant was supposed to be, that it was made in Canada. I think thats cool, I knew about Beaumonts, but did'nt know that they made Chevelles for U.S. destinations

The trim tag on the cowl will have MADE IN CANADA on the top of it, as well.
They made around 9500 Chevelles in Oshawa Ontario for import to the U.S.A.
Part of the Auto Pact trade agreement, and sadly part of what eventually ended the production of the Beaumont.
You can contact GM of Canada and get original info on your Canadian Chevelle, if you are interested.

Nice Chevelle!  FWIW, my Oshawa built 1969 SS Chevelle originally had a black firewall, no traces of body color were found anywhere on the firewall during the restoration. :)

Thanks for that John. Interesting - it seems the US-bound cars got the black firewall. Probably wanted to match the US-built cars.

Should have paid more attention when I was younger. Dad had a '68 Laurentian and I am trying to remember what colour the firewall was on it. I believe they were made in Canada too.

Just as you mentioned I am familiar with Beaumont's but not Canadian Chevelle's. Very nice ride!!!
