: GM F-body 7.5" 10 bolt posi help with ID bobj_70 Mar 18th, 10, 9:25 PM The car wasn't supposed to have a posi, but there is one under it. Door codes state 3.23 open rear, but two nice even burn marks in my drive way tell other wise. How can i go about checking what posi unit is in it? Auburn or Eaton? Borg-Warner? big gear head Mar 18th, 10, 9:27 PM The ONLY way to know is to remove the cover and look at it. Take a picture and post it here. It won't be a Borg Warner. Those were only used in the 9 bolt and BOP 8.2 10 bolt. It won't be an Eaton Posi unless someone bought a new one and installed it. It could be a Govenror Lock or Auburn. Neither one of them is going to be real good. Someone could have installed a Lock Right or mini spool. Someone could have been welding stuff together in there too. | ||
