Which way do the 350 emblems lean?

I am planning on repainting my 71 Malibu next winter and removing the emblems at that time. So this summer the Malibu emblems are staying on the car.
I’m swapping the 350 emblems out for the 400 emblems.

The 350 emblems look like they are “leaning” the wrong way.
Are they supposed to lean towards the front of the car or towards the rear?
Mine are leaning towards the rear, and it just doesn’t look right to me. The tops of the numbers are further back than the bottoms
In other words the drivers side is like this: malibu 350
