: Where do I find replacement gasket type rings on spindle. bobs72ss Feb 21st, 03, 3:13 PM I am in the process of rebuilding my front end & I completely disassembled the rotor/spindle/backing plate assemblies. on the spindle there is a small pliable ring similar to gasket material that I would like to replace. No one knows what I'm talking about. Anyone have any idea where I can get replacements or if this part is necessary? Alan Feb 21st, 03, 3:51 PM I know exactly what you're talking about. It's between the backing plate and spindle surface, right? I saved the ones off the tall spindles I got from the junkyard. Even so, I too would like to know if these can be purchased? Don't know the make, model, or engine the gaskets were intended for. We just finished putting my dad's LS5 back together and did not bother to put them back in...I'm told that they are there to cut down on noise??? Any ideas?
