I'm changing from a 350 to a 454 in my 1970 Chevelle SS. Will I have oil pan clearance problems?

Not if you have a normal car pan on the 454. I believe even the 70's light pickup pans fit as well.

Depends on the pan. If you are installing a new crate motor with a 6 qt pan you will need to get the 4qt pan kit from GM.

What size pan does the motor have??

Thanks for the info on the oil pan. I'll have to call the builder to verify the size of the pan.
