I was wondering what the going price was for an NOS driver's side quarter panel in excellent condition.
Thanks,
Van

How much over $1000 are you talking about?

I've seen them sell in the last 6 months for under 700. Some guys want 2000, but I haven't seen them sell either.

I have seen'em go anywhere from $800-$1200, so I figure $1000 is a fair price?

Sounds reasonable. As long as you're not in a hurry, you should be able to sell it for 1000.

The left side is the common side thats' still around. The right side went disc. long before the left. I know in like 1989 I was still able to get a GM left side 1/4, but not the right side.

So, IF you had the pair, they go for $2500-3000, but the left alone is only worth, IMO, $750-1000.

Thanks, I was wondering why one side sold much higher than the other.

I have always wondered why one side was discontinued way before the other. I dont see it being a more common side for damage on a car.

Which side to you think got backed into the fence more often. The driver side with the mirror or the passenger side without?

I believe it had something to do with the Die being damaged, GM saw no need to repair it.

I think that the passenger's side is always rusted out worse because the salt gets washed over to the right side of the road.

I bet you could get 1,200.00 - 1,500.00 for one.

Someone set me straight.

Is a NOS quarter panel one "sold" by GM or one that was "made" by GM? I see some GM quarter panels for sale but heard they bought from Goodmark for years after they stopped producing their own.

I would think a true NOS quarter would be a GM produced part which I assume ended back in the 70's.

Is a quarter panel with a GM sticker in a GM box worth the extra coin over one of the asian brands?

NOS refers to one that was made by GM at a GM stamping plant. They have the blue/white GM stickers on them.

Yes, Goodmark worked a deal with GM to use the dies to run a batch of panels off. There are still some around, and from what I've found, are almost as pricy as the remaining NOS GM ones. I used a pair of the first Goodmarks, they fit great, just like an NOS panel would.

1000 would be enough, sold a 67 NOS drivers side last year for 850, 67 passager side 2 to 3 thousand, if you could find one
