I have a 67 Malibu with a 69 396 and I just installed a power steering pump, can anyone
tell me what length belt I need to run the
pump? The car was manual. Thanks, Flash402 graemlins/beers.gif

The parts store should be able to look this up for you. Just ask for a belt for a '69 big block Chevelle.

Or grab a shoelace and run it around the p/s / crank pulleys, tie said shoelace so as to give you correct size and take it with you to the parts counter and get one of the same size as shoelace. Might save you a return trip if you get one a little short / long and run out of adjustment room.

Right on Marauder, graemlins/thumbsup.gif Thats what I did when I put the power on mine a shoelace or string. Then you can acually get real close to what you want when you dont have a belt to go buy. Laces are faster than a couple of trip to the parts store.

Thanks guys, I used some bale twine and still
had to make one more trip---I"m kinda limited on
my tightener because I'm using a small block
pump and the return line is in my way. I had
to bend it quite abit just to get it so I could
use it. Anyway I got a 41 inch belt on it. graemlins/hurray.gif graemlins/beers.gif
