Are the 68 and 69 master cylinders the same in apperance for power disc brakes ?
Also does any one know if the GTO master cylinder is the same as chevelle.
Hey Brian,
This is DG, I bought some Monte parts off you a couple years ago (discs, trunk lid, etc).
According to my Chevy Interchange manual, the 68 disc master p/n 5468811, was a Moraine part, used on the 68 Chevelle, with 1-1/8 internal piston & no other internal changes.
The 69 disc master p/n 5461184, also Morain, used on 68-72 Corvette, and 69 Chevelle (no mention of the piston size).
I'd say it would function the same as a GTO. Probably only really needed to know if you buy a rebuild kit.

Hi, DG thanks for those numbers how is your car coming along.I have a new project a 68 GTO it has a bad frame so i found this 68 Chevelle frame that has been all done up painted and new front end, disc brakes, the works all done to it and bought it to put under the GTO.I'am working on the brake lines and fuel lines so they will hook up to the GTO set up.
