I bought the downloads from quarter jr. I ran malwarebytes and it showed the program "HP" as a "backdoor." Should I be concerned?

Malwarebytes does occasionally show a program as having an issue but you can add it to the ignore list during a scan if it's OK.
Contact the MFG and see what they have to say.
I've done that before and the MFG has Malwarebytes remove it from the blacklist after they checked it.

HP used to use a program called backweb lite. The original backweb was full of holes and would essentiually allow most anybody in so it was calssified as a virus or malware. The lite version is supposed to be alot better. I pesonally would just uninstall it and be done.
