just finishing my disc conv on my 70 malibu and I'm installing the frt. rubber lines to the calipers. It's my first time doing this, so hopefully I did it right. I reused the brackets that are on the frame to hold the line, I had to file the opening where the brake line went through and when i put the U-clip on, I have alot of play up and down, It doesnt fall through, but the clip has alot of play in it. I dont have the hard lines hooked up yet, is this normal play. Also when I have the wheels turned fully to one side where the bracket that holds the outer tie rod hits the lower arm, It looks like the brake line is real tight, about an inch of play to either side, is this normal, I doubt if I'll have it cranked that far when driving. I just have no one to ask except you guys. Thanks for the help, again!!!!!!! graemlins/clonk.gif

The hose brackets for the disk brake hose is a double thickness type. It is different from the drum brake bracket. You can see the difference : the disk brake bracket is made from metal that is folded double. You should be able to find a set of suitable brackets at a salvage yard or make a shim washer to take up the slack.
