I see Russel and Earl's have steel braided, teflon lined hoses specifically for Power steering applications...
But the fittings do not indicate what they fit, just a size...
There are 3 adapters to adapt SAE flare fittings (box/pump) to -6AN...
One for 1/2"-20,
ne for 5/8"-18
and one for 11/16"-18
They also have 2 metric sizes:
14mm and 16mm
I am thinking of using a pump orifice and plunger from a Police car Caprice (Metric O-ring style), but I don't know the fitting size there either (14mm or 16mm?).
Thanks for any help...

The metric pump discharge fitting is a M16x1.5 female thread.

The late model boxes have 16 and 18mm "bump tube" o-ring style fittings if that's what your asking. Earls, Aeroquip, and XRP all make bump tube to AN adapters. Pressure and return from the box should be -6. I believe the pressure side is the 16mm and the return is the 18mm.
I'm not sure what the fitting sizes are for a standard box.

Lee Mfg has the "adapter" fittings 818-768-0371 for the "metric" boxes

The low pressure port on the gear is nearest the input shaft and is M16x1.5. The high pressure port is nearest the gear side cover and is M18x1.5.

The low pressure port on the gear is nearest the input shaft and is M16x1.5. The high pressure port is nearest the gear side cover and is M18x1.5. But what are the fitting sizes on the older boxes? SAE Flare sizes: 1/2-20"? 5/8-20"? 11/16-20"?
Thanks
The late model boxes have 16 and 18mm "bump tube" o-ring style fittings if that's what your asking. Thanks, but I was looking for the SAE flare size, and just the Metric for the pump outlet orifice fitting... Russel also has a 14MM Metric O-ring to -6AM adapter listed, but they don't mention what applications it fits, besides "Power Steering"... I don't want to pay $13+ for a part that doesn't fit, and can't return (if opened?)...
I am thinking of the AGR box, which can come with either the old flare fittings or Metric O-rings, my choice, but the Metric version still comes with the newer input shaft, necessitating a new "hybrid" rag-joint (mines pretty new anyway)... So I thought maybe I'd get the older style box (but still the 12:1 (12.7:1?) ratio, and use the pump plunger/orifice from the 1996 (Police 9C1) Caprice...
Thanks,
and thanks Jim for the Pump fitting size...

The power steering pumps and the power steering gear ports were changed to metric starting with the 1980 model year.
Before that time the pump discharge port was a female 5/8-18 UNF thread with a 45 degree flare seat.
The gear low pressure return port (the nearest the input shaft was the same as the pump discharge but with deeper threads. The return port takes a longer threaded nut than the pump.
The high pressure gear port (near the side cover) was a female 11/16-18 UNS thread with a 45 degree flare seat.
