Im about to purchase the $125 booster/MC kit from MP Brakes. Will i need new hard lines or can i stretch the existing ones? There looks like theres plenty of line if it can bend some. Will i need the residual inline valves they carry or are there already some in my original lines? If i need them, how are they installed? Anything else i need to know?

Hey blaster,
I am using that kit also with thier metering/ porportioning valve. I decided to go ahead and replace all of the lines. I figured that on a
39 year old car this would be the best way to insure my behind. Had an 89 lebaron(cringe) actually pop a hard line. Not fun.

My car has drum/drums. Do i need a proportioning valve or residual valve?. Where would i get new hard lines?

I have seen entire kits to replace all of the lines. You can also go the route of making new ones. For this I already have the tools needed. Its just a mater of locating the right lengths of tubing.

More than likely they have the kits, if not i have seen these in other catalogs.
Can we name the other catalogs here?

Forgot to mention,
I am using the combonation valve from MP brakes.
It the proportioning valve and distribution block all in one. It even came with a handy bracket to mount it to the bottom of their master cylinder.

Ok, I just ordered the MP booster/mc kit. The guy then tells me that my hard lines wont fit because the end fittings will be wrong for the MC. Where can I get hard lines that will fit my existing proportioning valve and then fit their MC? Will the auto parts store have this? I also bought 2 ten pound residual valves because he said i would have spongy brakes if i didnt. Has anyone ever installed these in their lines?

From what i can tell Inlinetube has stock applications but mine will need some custom lines made. Do they also make custom stuff or do i have to buy the materials and make the lines myself? I would prefer not to go that route if possible.
