Well I tried this before & no answer??
Trying to go the disk brake conversion & installing power sterring on my 65 elcamino . What year did they change the fittings from flare to metric & if all my doner parts are older then 1977 will i be affected? I am using 1972 chevelle brake spindles & calipers. I want to use 1974 olds diesel hydrovac power brake master cyl & olds power sterring pump with early chevelle pully & brackets. has anyone done this before & would you go this route again? Thanks

Steering hose connections went metric in 1980. Power steering pump mounting bolts went metric the same year. The gear mounting bolts and the flexible coupling pinch bolts are still conventional SAE.
