Anyone put power steering on a 68 with a 307 using one of the fast ratio gear boxes? What I am trying to figure out is what lines do I need to get. Tried getting the lines that match the gearbox, but it appears that the high pressure lines for this gearbox (92 Caprice) have a short line that runs into some type of a junction box and then the high pressure lines run from the junction box to the pump. What is this junction box for, and do I need it. Or is there a car I can get the lines from that will work with the metric fittings (I have changed the 68 pump over to the female metric fitting)that will run from the gear to the pump without the junction box?

Almost there, so any help will be appreciated. Also, if anyone has pictures of the belt setup for a 68 (307) with power steering it may help.

Thanks for the help.

Lee Manufacturing offers a kit (brass seats) that installs into the newer box and allows the use of the old-style I.F. fittings/hoses... Might be able to also be used on the pump outlet (?)... Russel Hoses (Edelbrock) makes specific Power Steering hose and fittings for the metric O-ring replacement...

Maybe a Hydraulic shop could build some custom hoses, but not sure if the proper fittings are readily available...
