I am in the middle of putting on new ssm uppers and lowers on the velle and I'm on my last one right now. It is the drivers side upper and the inner side rubs the differential. I have tried jacking the back of the car in a number of different spots with no luck. Have any of you had to grind the arms to fit?
Thanks,
Jon

I had to grind my BMR uppers. I wonder why they can't design them to fit a 12 bolt rear.
Don't know about the SSM arms but I'll bet they are pretty similar.

did you have to grind both, or just the drivers side one?

Just the driver's side arm. The way the 12 bolt is made coupled with the size of the aftermarket arms creates the problem. BMR makes the housing end of the arms wider than a stock bushing too. They have a big spacer you put in. No way it'd ever fit any 12 bolt.
I guess there aren't enough custmers buying A-body control arms with a 12 bolt to justify designing them to fit.

I had to grind away some material from one of my bars as well for the bars to fit my 12 bolt. I had the rear out of the car, and decided to bolt them on losely before sliding the rear under, and am glad I did. It wasnt very much material, but I really didnt like the fact that I had to remove any material at all off the bar. Everything works fine. I guess Im just glad that Im not the only one who had to do this.
