Hey I'm taking my rear ends lower a-arms off and I do understand to take one out at a time but I was wondering i have no driveshaft in the car if i take one out at a time do I have to worry about rearend trying to roll or anything else? also do I suspend suspension or do I jack up and put stands under rear end? thanks steel

It shouldn't roll if there at least one lower arm attached.

I don't think it'll matter if the suspension is hanging or not. Might be better if the jack stands were under the axels just to further keep the rear end from moving. It might want to shift and bind the control arm bolts if it's hanging. If you're leaving the shocks in, that problably won't happen anyway. The suspension can go lower than the shocks will allow.

it will roll but put stands under frame on side you are removing the arm and floor jack under pinion nose of differential. Remove arm, raise jack to maintain line up and replace arm.

Here's from a previous post;

"Use 7/16" x 2 3/4 bolts, and drill the back hole 4 5/8 from the center of the bushing hole, and the other hole 6 inches center to center from the first hole."

Look for the topic "anybody ever boxed rear arms?" in the brakes and suspension forum if you want to see more info.
