SSuper Dave Apr 25th, 03, 10:13 PM I have a short water pump 427 in my '68 and have the remote resevior power steering. I used a piece of heater hose to connect the resevoir to the pump when I installed it a few months back, and now it looks like the fluid is "weeping" thru the hose. Apparently, heater hose is not a good choice for this purpose, but what is? They will work better. graemlins/thumbsup.gif John D Apr 26th, 03, 1:42 AM "heater hose" isn't usually rated to carry petroleum or solvent based fluids. These fluids will deteriorate the rubber and will make the hose get spongy or weep. Get a length of hose that's "oil or fuel" rated, and your problem will go away ;) SSuper Dave Apr 26th, 03, 7:25 AM Thanks!
