Well i picked out the wheels i am going to go with. Decided the Wheel Vintiques rallye would look best with my build. Before i order the wheels, first of all can i fit a 295/50/15 under the wheel wells or would i need to roll the lip. I'm just trying to decide if i should buy the 15x8 or the 15x10. I don't mind going to a 275 or 285 if it makes it fit better and which offset for each wheel. There going under a 68 4 door.. Thanks....Dan

I'm not 100% on a '68, but I think a 295 will be a little too big. 70-72 fit no problem with a 5.5" backspace, but I believe the 68-69's have a little less room than the 70-72.

i have them out back on my '68 on an 8" rim...seem to do pretty good...there's not much room to spare though...

Thanks, I guess i'll go a little smaller. Just trying to fit as much meat as i can. I'm goin to do some more research. My buddy said he'll help roll the lip so maybe that'll help a little

Go with a 15X8 with 4.5 backspacing and run a 275/60-15, that will look good.

I have 295's that fit under my 70, but won't fit my 68. I would roll with the 275 and you will be happy with the look

I had BFG 295's on 10" Draglites w/5.5" bs on my 68 and they fit just fine and looked great! I can't remember if the lip was trimmed but I never trimmed it. I have also measured many 295's width sidewall to sidewall and no other 295 out there is as wide as the BFG. So, any 295 you can buy today will actually clear better than my setup because they are not as wide of a tire as I used. I measured a Grand Am Radial GT 295 and it was about 1"-1.5" narrower than a BFG I had setting next to it! It was about the width of a 275 BFG but with the normal diameter of a 295.

I have 295/50's on 15x8 with 4" bs and lot's of room. I rolled the lip while the body work was being done so I would have lot's of room for different options, but I wouldn't of needed to with this combination.
