Have my drivers quarter removed and have purchased a replacement outer wheelhouse. Most of the rust is on the outer edges but i also have a little where it joins the inner. This is my first project and am not sure really what to do. Should i cut my new one and patch weld it in or replace the whole thing? I,m kinda confused of how the front side of the well is attached. It looks like there is silicon bonding the front edge to the inner wheelhouse. Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Pictures are worth a 1000 words. Could someone post some pics of there repair? Thanks for all your help!!

67 Malibu in progress

On my '65 i replaced the whole piece one one side and sectioned the other. You will get mixed reviews but i would just splice what is needed. Way quicker and easier in my opinion. My signature has pics that may be helpful. -MATT

I would, if the area is not that big. just fit and patch the the bad spot.
If the lip area is really rusty replace the whole OWW. I have loads of pics of the sheetmetal on my 67. email and I will send them.
