A friend of mine just cleaned out his garage and gave me a new set of superior 2" dropped spindles and 2 12" 1LE rotors that will fit my 71 Elky. Problem is, I dont know which calipers, hoses or backing plates I need to finish the job. Can you guys help? Thanks, Scott! Also will my stock disc/drum master cylinder and proportioning valve work?

Not sure of the year range but I know S-10/S-15 calipers are what you are looking for.

Don't have an answer for you, but you should call Superior, I bet they would tell you. And if not, at least you don't have to do a triple ttt. ;) Did you try a search? I know there's a lot of information about this here somewhere...

If they're spindles to directly replace the stock ones then I'd bet that Chevelle calipers and hoses would fit them. Don't know about what backing plates though.

I dont see how the 12" 1LE rotors are going fit the Superior spindles with out some kind of fab work. My understanding is that Superior uses late model G body brakes and the G body requires some custom peices to convert to 12" rotors, like new spindles for one.

I was looking into spindles for a while. I wasnt able to find any that used the stock calipers and rotors. Every one I found used either the s-10 brake setup or the g body setup. I wish I could find a set that used stock items cause all my disc brake stuff is new MP brakes stuff. :(

Superior makes 2" dropped spindles for a 12" setup! Found out today their spindles do use 1LE rotors and 79-81 Camaro calipers,14" metric brake lines and no backing plates, so
I am ready to go. Thanks, Scott!
