I'm not sure how to attach this or if I have it in backwards. It did not come with anything to fasten it to the car. I see the path it should go by the holes. Any PICS out there??? And where to get the parts??? :confused:

You need the metal push in clips

You'll also need to buy the clips if you don't have then already. You'll need to tape the seal down for a trial fit, then judge where you'll need to pierce holes for the clips to go through. I'd use an awl or a new razor.

Just remove the tape as you go along and fasten the clips till you're done.

Kent...If you care about this sort of thing, that's really not the right w/s for the cowl. Thats the one that goes on the hood.

I used a leather punch for doing the holes. A slit can keep on tearing out unlike a round hole.

I'm not sure of the differance. My car had nothing when I bought it. Do you have a good pic of the correct one? This is what they sent me when I ordered it from Ausley's Chevelle. Did the 69 SS have one on the hood or mounted to the Cowl?,any pics? :confused:

There are 2 w/s. One on the hood, and one on the cowl. Vendors may call them different names. There is a hood to cowl seal, and a cowl to hood seal. This pic shows both.

Ground-Up sells the right ones. Thats where I got mine, and they look exactly like the cracked/dried out originals I removed.

Bill from your pics it looks like I have the mount on Cowl seal but laying in backwards? The clips should be installed from the windshield side of the gasket? The pic of your Hood seal IS different than what I have.
