: Rear Control Arms Rubber/Poly combo bushings?

So a friend of mine is letting me have a set of upper and lower rear control arms that already have brand new poly bushings in them.

I know that all poly in the rear is bad as they cause bind-
but if memory serves- I think it was accepted that you could put poly on one side and rubber on the other and it would be ok- not bind up and still a little better than all rubber.

Question : Which side gets poly and which gets rubber?

Thanks-
Ben

As a compromise Ben, you could run rubber bushings in the rear end housing ears and poly at all the other mounting points.
The UCAs are more susceptible to binding with polys at both ends. Not as critical with poly at all points in the LCAs.

This may be more trouble than its worth then...

Sounds like you would recommend all rubber for the Rear Uppers, and One poly one Rubber for the rear lowers?

Normally i would just use all rubber... maybe i should just Use the arms but go ahead with the replacement rubber that i would have ordered anyway... Was hoping i could save some $$ and use some of these bushings.

No...what I meant was use rubber at one end of each upper control arm.
Polys are OK at both ends of the lowers.

OK, sweet!

Now i just gotta Blast and box one of my extra sets of lower arms and move the new bushings over and i'll be in business!
