What paint is used to renew the black trim stripe on both the parking & taillight bezels on my 72? Searched but could not find anything definitive. Is the paint satin; semi; or? What prep does the chrome need to get the paint to stick? Thank you.

Rick, the NOS bezel's on my 72 are satin. The SEM trim black should be a good match. I'm sure others will comment on it. I would carefully degrease and scuff the area before painting.

I found SEM's Trim Black to be too flat. I used SEM's landau black for my grille & headlight bezels. It had just a little more sheen to it, but it wasn't glossy at all.

Thank you both. I found plenty of mail order sources with a google search, but the hunt is on for a local source.

I've found that most of the body paint suppliers carry SEM stuff.
