When converting from a stock th350 to a 700r4 transmission, what needs to be done with the dash? It's a stock non SS dash.

not sure what you mean by dash.It depends what type of carb you have if you have a Holley you need a special bracket for the t.v cable then you need to get a lock up for your overdrive.I got a one from from TCI but you could get from www.bowtieoverdrives.com.biggest thing about a 700 r4 is to get the t.v set properly or your new tranny will be fried.

I just noticed my mistake, I meant to say the column not the dash. Sorry about the confusion.

I have a 700-R in my 71. Mine had a 350-T. Just take the parts from your 350 and bolt them to the 700 and you are done, It is that simple. Just take the " U " piece from the 350 and bolt it to the 400 and your stock colum shifter will work fine . No modification NEEDED.
I did adjust the " String " to center it on the colum shifter. The 4 clicks are in the tranny not the column. You will be just fine...
Any questions just call 724-527-3088. Did mine in 2003, Have yet to touch anything...
