Would a bent left lower control arm on the rear axle make the whole car lean left? I have been looking over my 64 super sport and noticed that the left side of the car sits about 1 inch lower than the right side. i have been looking for any signs of frame or suspension damage found the bent control arm. anybody out there have any experience with this?

Dave,
I don't think replacing your bent lower control arm will change the l/s ride height. However for safety's sake I would replace that arm ASAP.

Move things up and down and check for binding. If it's bent enough, it could cause it to bind, and not allow your car to settle at the right height on both sides.
I'd suspect a worn spring though. But I haven't seen the bent control arm either....if it's bent severely enough....it could be it :(
