Hey Guys I have a couple of questions for yall. I am converting from power drums to disc brakes and I just purchased a set of disc brakes from a 70 chevelle. It came with booster, master cylinder, spindles, rotors, calipers, and all that good stuff but it didnt come with the proportioning valve or brakes lines. My question is if i just get the prop. valve can i use the old brakes lines or do I need a diffrent set of lines for disc brakes. Also does anyone have a suggestion on where to buy the additional parts I need. Thanks alot.

you need to decide on using 70 brakes or 71-72 brakes. if the master cylinder and booster are from a 70 you need to use 70 proportioning valves. the good news is you valve on the frame can stay. you just need to get the lines to the little 70 valve that mounts under the master cylinder and the get the valve. basicly you are going to have a 70 brake set up. "the right stuff" makes everything you need. or if you want to keep it 72 style, you need new lines a valve on the frame and a 72 master cylinder.
