New Energy Suspension bushings, TRW ball joints, new shocks, banged and clanged in the driveway for 2 days and invented about a dozen new hyphenated swear words.

But the front end gets scratched off the to-do list!

Now on to body and paint.

and a picture...

Glad my brother is paying for the parts on this :D

I would love to hear how the velle handles with all those upgrades what are you running for springs and sway bars? stock components? looks great! keep up the good work :D

Took it out for about a 2 hour run today and it handled great, needs an alignment as it was pulling a bit to the right but nothing major. Except for the polyurethane control arm bushings everything is stock.

anyone who hasn't redone their suspension would be wise to do it as one of their first projects, the handling difference is very very noticable.

Cheers

Is redoing the front end very hard and frustrating. Because my 72 Chevelle needs them done pretty badly. And im kinda a beginner. I always wanted a 66 Chevelle mostly because you dont have to pass emissions. smile.gif

Some parts of it are frustrating, mostly because I'm doing all the work in a gravel driveway without the shopfull of tools you see the T.V. guys nonchalantly mentioning.

Getting the old bushings out of the control arm required a trip to my buddies shop to borrow his air chisel, also had to use the air chisel to knock the rivets off the old ball joints.

About all you need is a set of wrenches, couple of small jacks, tie rod/ball joint breaker and lots of patience. As long as you don't try to rush things you will probably be o.k.
