I have a 454 with 049 heads, all stock no milling or decking work with a .340 dome piston bored 0.40 had a cam built to an old fireball cam spec 525 in 525 ex 286 adv 240 at .050 did a compression test at 500 miles and it was 165? I thought for sure it would be 180 or more? I thought for sure I can get 10:1 compression? I can run pump gas and not get any Detonation! I was expecting detonation with 35 degrees of timing. Let me know whatcha think maybe HP range also? Hooker 1 7/8 headers and 750 vacuum sec. do ya think It's at 9:1 compression? Bore (in)
