Does anybody have detailed mounting instructions for the 4 speed console and bracket placement? I am in process of redoing my dashboard. I removed the console to clean it up and found that the console was just screwed into the floor. :sad: I want to get this mounted correctly and in the right spot. I believe the bracket(s) are welded onto the floor?

The front of the console just screws to the floor, using the plastic bracket inside the console. The back screws down thru two holes in the console compartment. I'd screw the front down loosely, lining up/centering the shifter in the opening, then lift the back a bit to position the bracket with the 2 holes in the console base, and to the floor, and mark it. Then the bracket can be spot welded to the floor, and you're ready to screw the console down.
