Probably a dumb question, but is there a source for the rubber grease seals that fit around the tie rod ends and ball joints?

Any part store should carry them. Look for urethane parts if you want them to last forever.

Also look in the "help" section at the auto parts store

Go to your local Pep Boys and get some poly ones made by Energy Suspension. Part number is 13101G and they were like 4.99 when i got them here 2 weeks ago.

I have seen the tie rod boots in the parts stores, BUT have never seen the ball joint boots. You can order them from JEGS though. Like everyone says the urethane is the way to go. JEGS (Summitt probably has them also) sells the Energy Suspension brand. The urethane ones from Energy Suspension are VERY small compared to the original rubber ones. I did not think I had the right ones, but they fit. They stretch over the joint. When you hold them in your hand you thing they are for the tie rods, this is how small they appear.
