A few people on here had enquired about replicating this particular decal. This is not your normal trunk decal for 69/70 Chevelles, but there has been evidence of a few original 69/70 Chevelles that came with it. This is more likely the decal for 69-71 Novas. How some of these got on Chevelles is anybody’s guess. Special thanks to fellow enthusiast Chris for providing pictures of his original (he has one on his 69 and 70). Again, most of the credit here has to go to my buddy Shaun (BLT4FN) for his usual software magic.

Some of the differences between the original and current repro may not seem too dramatic. However, I think some of the differences are blatant, while others are a little more subtle. It again comes down to being correct or just so-so. Here are a few of my observations when comparing the current repro to the original. Pictures below.

- Font styles wrong throughout the decal.
- Text in diagrams is blurry.
- Arrow going from “Wing Nut” is sporadic.
- “Jack Operation” heading not aligned properly.
- Spacing between the wordings for “Jack Operation” and “Wheel Removal”.
- Spacing between two Black sections at top.
- Smudge line on side of bumper.
- Alignment of wording in upper right Black section.
- Some words on the wrong line in upper right Black section.
- Alignment of wording in “Wheel Removal” section.

As in the past, this is being posted for information purposes in response to those that where enquiring about getting this done. If anybody has interest in this product then go to the free classifieds.

Nice job Don, fast too. I'll be inquiring for one for the 70 for sure.

Thanks again for taking care of us and make sure you get that out to the Nova crowd too, it should be a big hit.

Chris
