Hello!
I have finally gotten my Chevelle 68, and I love it. I have so many questions, hereīs one. If you look at the pictures (my car is the one with black interior), there is a "fan" to the left of the dashboard on the car above (green).
On my car there isnīt any to the left, only on the right.
(On the green one there are on both sides, left and right).

Why is that? Both are Chevelle Malibu 68. I can also spot differences on the interior doors. I have looked at many pictures and found both versions.

Christian, if you have air conditioning yours should be the same as the top picture. The interior is different depending on trim level. I believe the Canada built cars are also different. We need more info on your car to help further.

Ok. I didnīt know that.

I have found out (with the number below the front window) that my car is made in april 1968 in Fremont. And that Seafrost green is the original color.


Where can I find info about the trim level of my car?

I was told my dashbord shows that my car isnīt equipped with
air condition.
But what is this?
Hasnīt this anything to do with aircondition?

It looks like your car did originally come with AC - that is most likely at least. Probably at some point in the car's life the original dash bezel was replaced with a non- AC example. In your car there should be a hole at the left side and the area above the heater controls should also be open for a vent. Your dash also has incorrect Wash/Wipe knob, and is missing the cigarette lighter. If you are concerned about having the car be exactly like it was from the factory, you'll need to find a new dash bezel at the least. Until you start poking around you won't know if you will also need the ductwork that goes behind the dash. None of the pieces that are missing on your car now, other than the wipe/wash knob, are remade. Most (except maybe the AC duct if it isn't there) should be fairly easy to buy on ebay.

The white paint speed markings on the face plate are pretty funny though, nice touch to accommodate local conditions!

Interesting....I wonder why it was replaced with a one "without" aircondition...

About the speedometer. :D
Here in Sweden, it must show km/h.
